Director Mark Capell joined the TFPD Board in 2021. He completed his undergraduate degree at UC Davis and has a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Southern California. Mark is a Managing Vice President at Build America Mutual with over 25 years experience as a municipal bond analyst. He previously served as an Executive Board member with the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and recently completed his tenure there as Chairman in 2023. Mark has also served on numerous other boards including on the San Francisco Municipal Bond Club and on the California Society of Municipal Analysts Board. For several years in high school and while in college, he worked as a seasonal firefighter with Marin County Fire Department and later was a graduate of the Santa Rosa Junior College Fire Academy. Mark has been a Tiburon resident for over 18 years and raised two daughters. He is an avid fisherman, backpacker, homebrewer, gardener, and chef.
